Dear Keith and Colleen,
Wayne
and I have just returned from a fabulous weekend in Byron Bay at
the beautiful Beach Hotel.
Thankyou
so much for your generosity and kindness.
After
a trip up to the Lighthouse, the most Eastern tip of Australia, we
enjoyed a stroll along the beach and totally relaxed. Later on we
enjoyed a stress free afternoon browsing around the many arty farty
shops and Boutiques and then sat in a little Café and “People
watched”
for an hour or so. The sights in Byron are colourful and entertaining
to say the least. One can wear whatever you like and be yourself and
let your hair down without a worry.
We
enjoyed a fabulous meal in the evening on a outdoor bacony overlooking
the main street with free entertainment being provided by some unusual
looking Musicians on the footpath below. Wayne being a Musician himself
likes to cruise around all the night spots and listen to all the Bands
and entertainment. We were very fortunate to have a world class band
playing at our Hotel and joined in with at least 400 others to
listen
to some of our old favourite 70’s and 80’s rock.
On
returning to our room we indulged in a long soak in the spa bath with
mountain high bubbles, so high in fact we couldn’t see each other. I
won’t mention that we flooded the bathroom!!! This morning we enjoyed a
tropical breakfast in our restaurant over looking the Beach and later
checked out and headed to Tallow beach when we just blobbed out for the
next few hours. After a late but very healthy lunch and a cappuccino we
headed for home feeling totally relaxed, destressed and ready to attack
another busy week.
Thanks
you so much for making this weekend a very special treat for us both.
Kind
regards
Liz
and Wayne. |
